Fun place to visit if not really stinky, these tunnels are designed differently than to most of the other tunnels Ive seen. These are built more like air raid shelters and deep level shelters rather than the sandstone and slate Im used to! Different terrains I guess!
These tunnels were “prepared” in 1936 to be shelter and to maintain production during WWII, now buried in the heart of a building site the clocks are ticking until the eminent backfill.
